I live in Texas with my husband and two children. I first moved to Texas from Canada in the early 1990s as a young, single, and very broke (I had exactly $20 in my pocket to last until my first payday), newly graduated Registered Nurse. I knew from the time that I was 5 years old that I wanted to work in the Labor & Delivery unit, even if it meant moving away from my family and friends. And that’s pretty much what happened.
Eventually I met my husband. I quickly realized I would never meet another man that could remotely compare to him, so I married him. We have two children together, Clark and Luci. They are incredibly sweet and loving, and my greatest fear in life is that I inadvertently damage their beautiful souls.
My family is the reason why I do what I do. They inspire me to dream bigger, live better, and love greater.
I absolutely love and admire anything that is creative – photography, scrapbooking, arts and crafts, music, cupcake decorating, you name it. Cheesecake and chocolate count as creative, by the way. I get excited at the thought of saving money. And I’m passionate about freedom, homeschooling, travel and natural health.
Things I can do without are bullying, broccoli, phony people, cooking, cleaning and laundry. I don’t make a very good housewife, so that cupcake decorating thing isn’t going to happen.
XO,
