27 Nov Happy Thanksgiving 2013!
It’s the Thanksgiving Holidays! Happy Thanksgiving! Clark’s preschool is closed this week and I couldn’t be happier. It’s so nice and relaxing not to have to worry about getting him ready and off to school No stress in the morning! The tougher part is keeping them both kids occupied and happy all day while I clean the entire house, get all the laundry done and prepare for family coming in from out of town for the holiday. Immediately after breakfast, I pulled out my well-hidden play dough. I reserve it for special occasions, so it keeps them happily playing for quite a long time and it also keeps them within my line of sight while I’m working in the kitchen!
Christmas Tree Craft
When they got bored of playing with the play dough, Clark declared: “I need to glue something!” I suspect he caught sight of a glue bottle. So, we sat down and made some Christmas trees together. I cut out a couple of tree shapes from some construction paper while they ripped up some scraps of red, orange and yellow construction paper. Clark did his own gluing. I put dots of glue all over Luci’s tree and she proceeded to decorate it. They both took it so seriously and worked so hard at it. I love catching their intense concentration.
I wasn’t fast enough with the camera, here… the next frame was Luci putting her glue-covered finger in her mouth. UGH! Crazy kid!
And here’s our final product! We have a lovely Christmas tree that must be displayed! I didn’t get much cleaning done, but I have two really happy kiddos!
