04 Feb How to Create a Paper Sloyd Triangular Candy Box
I’m not lying when I said that my kids and I were a little nervous of the Supplementary Models in the back of the book, Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades by Ednah Anne Rich. As we set out to make the paper sloyd triangular candy box, we were immediately shocked to find that this model – as well as many other models in this section – had absolutely no instructions! Were we supposed to be so prepared by doing the models in the previous parts of the book, that this would be so simple as to no need any guidelines?! Surely not!
I was so convinced that this was beyond our skill level – even though I do believe we had made great progress – that we set the book down and didn’t pick it up for months! But, honestly, inside our hearts, we had made a commitment to complete this book. So, months later, here we are, ready to do what we set out to do.
And guess what? This model turned out to be very simple and clear. All of our fears and disbelief dissolved when we sat down to figure it out.
So join us, as we conquer our insecurities and lack of confidence – we’ll help you figure it all out!

This paper sloyd triangular candy box came together so well! We absolutely loved this project! I couldn’t believe how nervous I was to do this model without any instruction, but with minimal examination, we realized that it was so simple and easy to make! We filled ours with brightly colored Skittles as a surprise for a friend.
