12 Feb How to Make Valentine’s Day No-Sew Heart Pillows
As a Homeschooling Mom, I kind of love the different celebrations and holidays that pop up every month. I like to use them as an opportunity to celebrate, craft and treat my children to new or fun foods and experiences. So for Valentine’s Day this year, we wanted to make something that would add a bright spot to the kids’ bedrooms. These Valentine’s day no-sew heart pillows seemed to be the perfect choice. They are cheap, very simple to make, and a lovely piece of décor. They would also make delightful Valentine’s Day gifts.
Materials Needed:
- 1/2 yard of solid color fleece
- 1/2 yard of patterned fleece that matches the solid color
- A pair of scissors
- A bag of Polyfill (I’m including this link for those who can’t get to a local craft store. If you can purchase it at the craft store, it’s much cheaper!)
- Optionally, if you prefer to make a template, you’ll need some paper, a pencil, or a fabric pencil

Why You’ll Love This Project
Not only are these no-sew heart pillows so cute in my children’s bedrooms, but there are other reasons I love them. I’m always on the lookout for a handicraft project that can be completed in an hour or so. I may or may not have a serious aversion to crafting projects being strewn all over our homeschool space. So if a project can be started and finished in the space of one afternoon – or less – I’m all about it! These pillows are also cheap to make. We got the fleece on sale. And I love that they are something that everyone of all age ranges can do and enjoy. It’s not always that parents, sons and daughters can all sit down to the same handicraft, and everyone enjoys it.
This may be your introduction to n0-sew pillows, but remember – these can be made into any shape you like! Let your imagination run free and see what you come up with!
We were so excited to find a color pattern that matched both my son’s and my daughter’s rooms perfectly!
