30 Nov Learn How to Improve Your Crochet with the Magic Knot
I was years into crochet when I finally learned that you can improve your crochet with the magic knot. For a long time, when attaching two pieces of yarn together, I was tying a knot and weaving the two ends in. It always bothered me that this technique left a lump and required more work, but I didn’t know a better way. Until I found the magic knot. The magic knot is a way to join two balls of yarn, whether you are starting a new skein, or just changing colors. It creates a much small, almost imperceptible knot and – what I love most – doesn’t leave any ends to weave in.
Happy Handicrafts Video: Here’s the SECRET to PERFECLY JOINED Balls of Yarn in CROCHET
If you follow the instructions in our video, you will be able to use the magic knot right away in your crochet projects. This is practical for any age range. And the great news is that I’ve never had this type of join break!
Leaning the magic join was a great lesson for me. Instead of continuing to do something that you don’t like – if you see a problem with it, change it! Do a little research, find a different way, experiment, and make a change.
