12 Apr Luci Wanted Flashcards So We Obliged

I’m not too into flash cards, but on a little trip to the Dollar Store yesterday, Luci saw some labeled with “ABC” and got so excited about recognizing the letters that we couldn’t resist buying them for her.  I also worry that sometimes I get so focused on Clark’s education that she feels left out in the process.

This time I got Clark involved and had him show her the cards, while she named the letter and sound.  If she wasn’t sure, Clark would help her out.  It was adorable.  Clark got bored quickly, but it was a great interaction.  I finished it with her.  She stayed focused until the end.  

Our daily laugh came from Luci today.  She was upset about something and as the tears fell from her eyes, she quickly became distracted from the reason she was upset and became focused on the tears.  For whatever reason, she believed her tears were BRAINS and sobbed:  “My brains are falling out of mine eyes!”  Clark, initially disagreed with her, but in her certainty, she quickly convinced him.  He then began to panic, telling her to stop crying or she would have no brains left!  LOL!   We may start anatomy lessons sooner than planned…
