05 Mar How to Create a Paper Sloyd Doll House Tabouret
Today we are making a paper sloyd doll house tabouret. This project is the 8th supplementary model from the book, Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades by Ednah Anne Rich. These supplementary models are presumably at the back of the book for extra practice, and we’ve committed to doing them all. We want there to be a place where our fellow Charlotte Mason homeschoolers can go to find a solution to their paper sloyd questions. But – these models are a challenge! Not only do they lack instruction, but we have no idea as to what the final product looks like! We are using our experience from working through the previous models, but we’re also experimenting, guessing, and seeing what works.
In the end, I hope we are putting out correct examples and information. Just know that we’re really not sure as to the accuracy our of videos. The main purpose, however, is that we enjoy our time crafting together, creating not only useful handicrafts, but lasting relationships.
Materials Needed
- The book, Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades by Ednah Anne Rich
- A small piece of good quality cardstock, Bristol Board, or scrapbook paper
- A pair of scissors
- A pencil
- A compass
- A ruler
- Glue
Happy Handicrafts Video: How to Create a Paper Sloyd Doll House Tabouret
This project required a lot of measurements and line drawing. It seemed to be missing some necessary measurements, which we added in the video.
We thought this paper sloyd doll house tabouret was the perfect size to go with our paper sloyd doll house chair that we made.
We appreciate you joining us on our videos, as we work through these projects. If you find a different way, we’d also love if you would share it in the comments! We need all the help we can get! Now, if you’ve just found us, through Happy Handicrafts or through the blog world, we’re so glad you made it here! We are a little homeschooling family that enjoys handicrafts, and we’re here to encourage and help other homeschooling families who want to do handicrafts, but find it overwhelming. Our videos are created to walk homeschooling moms and their students through each project, in a way that makes handicrafts easy and enjoyable. This is what brings us joy, and it is what we hope for you as well!
