Today we are moving on to our next project in our brushwork series, which is lesson #19 in the book, Brushwork Elementary Brush-Forms by Marion Hudson. After abandoning our design grid in our last lesson (and loving it!), for our brushwork lesson #18, we are returning to the grid. We are working through the book, Brushwork Elementary Brush-Forms by Marion Hudson, as part of our homeschool handicraft curriculum. Lesson #18 is a Lesson on Hares and Leaves. We went a little "off grid" in our last lesson and enjoyed it immensely. So, this week, we took it even further and did not even draw out the design on grid paper. Our brushwork lesson this week was the most fun so far! We have finally dared to abandon our trusty grid and allowed ourselves to paint sprays of laburnum freely.
