This next paper sloyd model, is perhaps the most difficult, yet most useful that we have made so far. Today we are making a paper sloyd calendar. It is Project #9 from the third year from the book, Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades by Ednah Anne Rich. We created this model in two parts - first the calendar leaves, and secondly the calendar back. Today's project is a paper sloyd conical flower holder. I imagine that this little project would be lovely in the spring when wild flowers are abundant here in Texas. I am always excited to learn a new skill. Today, as we create our next paper sloyd creation, a pyramidal catch-all, our main tool is going to be a compass, instead of the ruler. There is one thing I’ve learned from homeschooling: If you don’t make holidays and celebrations into a really big deal, then your kids are going to miss out.
