Not to be dramatic, but I feel somewhat triumphant, as we have just completed our second year of paper sloyd. As a homeschooler, I had read about the importance of sloyd, but it was this mysterious mountain that I was too overwhelmed to climb. Today we will be making our final model in our second year of paper sloyd. We will be making a pen box, which is project #14 from the second year, from the book Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades by Ednah Anne Rich. This project is fairly simple, with minimal measuring and cutting. The final result is a little box that could have many uses. Have you been following along with us on our paper sloyd adventure? What began as overwhelming and intimidating has become something that we really enjoy. We've learned new skills and habits, and we've made many interesting objects.
