Clark and Luci have been loving watercolor paints recently, and I've been learning to make cards on my new Cricut Explore Air 2 that I got for Christmas. Ever notice that there are flower bouquets for every season and reason, but not really for St. Patrick's Day? In fact, the stores where I live completely skip over this little holiday and have right on to Easter. I know it's cheating, but I will often delay buying homeschool supplies and other necessities when I know that Christmas is just around the corner. Markers and paints, and paper, and glue make the best stocking stuffers! I love the Christmas holidays!  We tend to drop back to just the basics in our homeschool.  This gives us all a much-needed break and it allows us time for the many activities that come along with the holidays. I know that I cannot be the only Mom who worries about how to manage the Halloween aftermath. As we've become much more aware of what we are eating and feeding our children, the thought of my children downing buckets of candy on Halloween night absolutely horrifies me.
