How to Create a Paper Sloyd Extension Envelope

How to Create a Paper Sloyd Extension Envelope

I love our paper sloyd model for this week! Project number 10, from the third year from the book Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades, is an extension envelope. That doesn’t sound so amazing, but when you pick some beautiful paper, and it all comes together perfectly, it’s hard not to get excited! Putting together this paper sloyd extension envelope was a bit of a challenge because the instructions were not always clear. However, we now enjoy the effort of figuring it all out.

I think you’ll enjoy this project. And – great news – an extension envelope can always come in handy! Whether it before clippings, as the book suggests, coupons, other papers, or even to bring along on a nature walk to collect some specimens.

Didn’t that turn out beautifully! Sometimes it’s hard to picture the final outcome, and when it finally comes together, it’s nicer than you imagined. It’s a great feeling of accomplishment!

I hope watching our videos is helping you to navigate paper sloyd. I know that it can often seem like a lot to manage – especially if you are not the crafty type. But that is exactly why I started this series with my two children. Crafting is what we love. Ever since my children were little, art and crafting was our favorite subject. In fact, we’ve never considered it to be school. It’s simply a source of pleasure and joy for us. We would like to share that with you, while helping out other homeschool families. As a homeschooling mom, we invite you to set your student up with our videos – and then it’s your turn to take a break. It may just be to sit down with a book and a cup of coffee for a few minutes. Enjoy those few minutes while we guide your students through the maze that is paper sloyd. It’s an important subject that you don’t want them to miss!
