How to Create a Paper Sloyd Picture Frame

Our YouTube channel, Happy Handicrafts with Joanna Cinnamon is growing! Today we are excited to present the third video in our paper sloyd series, taken from the book Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades by Ednah Anne Rich. This video will teach your young students how to create a paper sloyd picture frame. I think you are really going to enjoy this project – it’s the cutest so far (and I’m sure that has nothing to do with the adorable picture that we put inside!)

Many years ago, along with some wonderful co-workers, I helped to organize a fund-raiser. We had a our nurses dress up like Disney characters and invited the community to come in for pictures. This was Luci’s picture and I still treasure it today. She was so excited to meet Elsa and Anna!

I am hoping that this series of paper sloyd videos can help a busy homeschooling mom, who can’t seem to find the time to sit down and work through the paper sloyd book. There are such benefits found in sloyd (read our blog about it here), that it would be a real shame to miss out! Mom – here’s your opportunity to open YouTube and leave the rest to Happy Handicrafts!

This paper sloyd picture frame is such a cute and easy project to make! Even if you are not homeschoolers, learning how to create a paper sloyd picture frame is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening together. You probably already have the supplies you need. We hope you enjoy this project as much as we did! What great memory will you preserve with your picture frame?
