Clark and Luci have been loving watercolor paints recently, and I've been learning to make cards on my new Cricut Explore Air 2 that I got for Christmas. Ever notice that there are flower bouquets for every season and reason, but not really for St. Patrick's Day? In fact, the stores where I live completely skip over this little holiday and have right on to Easter. We are just 2 days away from the once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse, and I'm probably the only person left on the planet who hasn't bought the necessary glasses. It's a huge homeschool fail, I know. I see all the homeschoolers around me ramping up for the big event, drafting elaborate unit studies, inspiring excitement and anticipation. And me? I love the Christmas holidays!  We tend to drop back to just the basics in our homeschool.  This gives us all a much-needed break and it allows us time for the many activities that come along with the holidays. I’ve officially now seen a wedding invitation on Facebook. Is this what the world is coming to? I know I’m getting older and sometimes I don’t get the younger generation, but this was a bit much. So much of our communication is done by text and social media. I can’t even deny that I’m a part of this.
